Are You Fully Resourced?

I saw the top quote at the gym today and I was like... yes.. and no..

Personally, I was nutritionally under-resourced my entire life until my early 30s. I grew up on school cafeteria food 🤮, fish sticks, pasta, soy burgers, and peanut butter sandwiches, and looking back with the clarity of hindsight, I can see that there were many aspects of my life that were extremely challenging because I wasn't running on the fuel my body needed to thrive. My body always felt weak, my digestive system was barely functional, and I had a lot of BIG MOODS (#diva) and problems in my head as a result of eating so much processed, shelf-stable "food".

After a severe health crisis in 2018 that woke me the F up, I began to slowly but surely heal my digestive system and my entire body, beginning with using the GAPS nutritional protocol and eventually (now that I've recovered so much) I'd say it's evolved into a red meat-centered diet, high fat, medium carb diet.

Through this whole process, I've learned that there are many different body types because all of our ancestors evolved in various climates and places and even siblings can have vastly different nutritional needs.

But I want to go back to the original point of this post, which is that making the decision for myself to be FULLY RESOURCED, no matter the financial or social costs, has been the best thing I've ever done for myself.

For so many years, my body felt like a prison to me, I had chronic inflammation and mystery pain, deep lethargy, and so much confusion around my feelings and moods. But now that I support myself with the foods that deeply nourish me, my body is in the process of becoming 🎆Heaven on Earth🎆 and it literally just. keeps. getting. BETTER.

If you're struggling from inflammation and mystery pain and just don't feel well:

1) Resist the urge to beat yourself up and keep pushing yourself further when it's clearly not working. What you need is compassion and an inquisitive mind

2) Open your mind to allow space for ideas that are contrary to what you were told growing up (hello, food pyramid, looking at you!)

3) Red meat works miracles🥩♥
